Construction

Construction sites are not only exposed to the elements of nature, but also to potential theft and vandalism.  Many visitors—employees, operatives, delivery drivers, and other personnel—on a daily basis, frequent construction sites.  This exposure increases the risk of theft and vandalism.  According the National Insurance Crime Bureau, the construction industry in the United States lost nearly one billion dollars in 2001 due to equipment theft.

Insufficient funding, along with the increase in population and crime, have left many cities throughout California without an adequate police force to effectively fight criminal activity—respond to calls, actively prevent crime, or conduct criminal investigations.

Because of the worsening state of our economy, the condition will only aggravate.  Further cutbacks are expected at the state and local level as well as the early release of inmates to compensate for the loss of tax revenue.  As a result, construction companies cannot afford to rely solely on police protection to secure their construction sites.

Unguarded job sites become targets of vandals and thieves whose work puts those targeted sites in total disarray, which can create heavy financial losses because of (among other things) interruptions to productivity.  Since vandalism and theft are crimes of opportunity, it is imperative that companies have adequate security protection.

EKS Security, Inc. personnel can help protect your job site(s) and safeguard your equipment and materials.  We will work closely with you to help identify areas of potential risk and prescribe a comprehensive security plan that will eliminate or minimize losses due to theft or vandalism.
